3rd-4th ESO Letter

Hi! My name is Rachel and my last name is Pérez. I live in Solares, a small town in Cantabria. Cantabria is a region in the northern part of Spain. Although Solares is a small town, it has a lot of facilities: there is a sports field, two swimming pools, a library, etc.

I live with my parents and my elder brother. My dad’s name is Carlos and he is 48 years old. He is a builder and he is very strict. He thinks studying is very important so he is always checking up on me. My mother’s name is Carla, she is 46 years old. She is a secretary and she works for a big company, she works a lot.  My older brother, Luis is 19 years old and he is currently studying at university. This I his first year at college, he wants to become an engineer. I am the youngest at home. I am 15 years old. As you can see in the picture, I am tall and thin. I have long blonde hair and green eyes. My friends say I am outgoing, patient and a nice person. I don’t like people who lie or spread nasty rumors about other people. In my free time I enjoy going to the cinema, hanging out with my friends and spending time with my family. I don’t see them very often because we are very busy over the week so the weekend is when we can spend time together.

I study at Apostolado del Sagrado Corazón de Jesús, it is a private and religious school. The school is very small with only 302 students from kindergarten to 10^th Grade. I am in 9^th grade right now and next year will be my last year in here. We have a lot of different subject: Spanish language, English, Geography, Art, Math’s, physics, Chemistry, Biology, French, Life skills, technology and religion. We have six classes a day. Classes start at 9.00 am, we have two classes and then a break. After the break we have two more classes. I have lunch at school at 1.30 p.m. The bad thing is that after lunch we have two more classes. Classes are dismissed at 4.30 p.m. Our teachers give us a lot of homework. How about your classes? My favorite classes are English and math’s. In the future I would like to be an engineer and built plans for bridges and freeways. I hope to study at a very good university.

 I also like travelling. My family and I travel a lot over the summer. Last summer we went to Italy. I had so much fun. We visited the Coliseum, the Vatican, Piazza Navona…. I loved the food, do you like Italian food?
